CHANGE ON THE BOARD |
|
A new year has brought many changes. One change in particular is the change on the board. Allen Smaage has resigned as Sec/Treas. The new member to the board taking Allens place is Clarine Ruud. Clarine lives on a farm north of McVille. She is married to Harold and is the mother of three. Clarine works at the nursing home in McVille.
Ann and Ron are still on the board. We are looking for people to be on the board as directors. So if you know of anyone who is interested on being on the board, let us know.

furnace. The cost of that was $65.00. Burton assures us that it works well, even without the smoke we had to deal with last year.
Does anyone have any ideas for the organ? Last service it wasnt working , it may just need light repair. But if worse comes to worse, does anyone have any ideas on where to get a used organ?
I want to thank all who has donated to the organization. Your help has |
been appreciated. We have heard some good comments on the fact the church is looking better. We look forward to working with the cemetery board on further projects to assure the well being of the church.
April 7 is the date set for the cemetery board to meet in the church. We will be setting a date for a meeting soon as well. We are waiting to get all the information concerning the grant first before we have the first meeting of the year.

GRANT APPLICATION APPROVED |
| This winter, Ron and I had applied for a matching grant to finish repairs on the church and finish painting. Today, Dale Bently from PND called to inform us that we were approved for that matching grant.
The grant would include repairs to the round window above the doors, plexy glass for the remaining windows to further add to protection, repair on

the upper trim around the bell tower, paint and any other minor repairs to the steeple. Painting went well last summer. The only thing left is the steeple, which needed repair. We felt that it would be better to do the repairs instead of just cosmetic. So work will continue into this summer. If you can donate please feel free, time or money.
