Friends and Family for Center

ND PRESERVATION WEEK

"PRESERVING SPIRIT OF PLACE" is the logo of this years conference. The date is set for May 17,18 &19 2002.

The city of Dickinson is sponsoring this years conference. Including in this conference is an update on National Trust �11 Most Endangered� 2001 listing on the �Prairie Churches of North Dakota� brought to us by former Lt. Governor Rosemarie Myrdal, who is the advisor for the National Trust for Historic Places.

Also there is the first round of �Grass Roots Preservation Grants� announced. These grants are funded by Save America�s Treasures and the J.M. Kaplin Fund. These are presented

There will also be tours and dinners, speeches and sermons. Three days

filled with ideas and tours of historic places. One should not get board. If you are interested in taking part of this event, let me, Ann Lilleoien-Ridl know so I can set it up for you. Lodging will be at the Americinn and Suites in Dickinson.

We did it!

We reached non-profit status! April 4, 2002 is the first date of recognition for Friends and Family for Center. This helps us greatly receive grants and funding better than just a no name group of people. We have also reached affiliate status with Preservation North Dakota. With that, we can use there 501 (c)3 status. All donations to Friends and Family

for Center are tax deductible and you will receive a receipt for the amount of the donation. The next step is to file for solicitation permits so we can advertise for donations and if we chose, to have raffles to earn money to help defray costs of the basement of the church. Thank you for all who have chosen to support this cause.
