The congregation built Center Lutheran Church in 1886, up until then the Sunday services were held in each of the parishioners homes. In the 1920's the basement was dug out by hand and hauled out by horses and a wagon, through a hole in the side of the church. The grandparents and great-grandparents of the people in the area built the church.
Ower goal is not to preserve just the building, but to preserve the religious aspect of the church as well.

Friends And Family for Center is a non-profit organization designed for the good of Center Church. We believe we can pull together and help save the church from falling away to the way side. It would mean a lot to so many of us to be able to see this wonderful building and be able to say that we had a part in the future of the building.
